The Land
Nowheres Edge is located on the ancestral land of the Blackfoot people who passed through this place for thousands of years. These tribes considered this valley a sacred site and left petroglyphs and pictographs on the sandstone rock formations. A short walk to the west side of Nowheres Edge will bring you to Writing-on-Stone Provincial Park/Aisinai’pi UNESCO World Heritage Site where you can learn more about the First Nations and their connection to this place.
The property of Nowheres Edge is built on over 1700 acres of private land along the Milk River. The curator and owner of the residency, Daniel Audet, is the fourth generation of original homesteaders who settled on the land in 1900.
It is a place of beauty and awe. Rolling prairies, badlands, cottonwood stands. An abundance of wildlife such as mule deer, pheasants, rattlesnakes, great horned owls, and coyote.
There are over 20 kilometres of curated hiking and mountain bike trails of varying difficulty. It is also possible to cross to the south side of the river and access independent hiking in the wild coulees.
For an additional way to experience the unique landscape there are 18 holes of disc golf.
